 Dragon SceneAnother digital painting example. This time I am attempting to paint a dragon with a landscape background.
Here is the painted scene followed by some simple sketches I drew to get to this point. It's obvious that my sketches aren't as detailed as they should be, but that's the beauty of digital painting, you can freely experiment with colours, setting and tone without fear of wasting ink or paint on a blank canvas. Therefore your sketches don't need to be super detailed and only really serve as a guide. Also having some reference material helps a great deal.    Digital Painting

  The Rocketeer (Unfinished)
A while ago I started working in Illustrator on one of my favourite characters of my childhood, The Rocketeer. It will probably take me a while to finish this one as I don't really have any art direction in mind. I just started mindlessly drawing as I usually do.

I'm currently working on some illustrations inspired by Oliver Jeffers childrens book "Lost and Found". It's a heart warming little story about a boy who finds a penguin at his doorstep and tries to help him find his way home.
This particular piece is based on the following text from the book: "The boy didn't know where the penguin came from, but it began to follow him everywhere"  Available on Society 6 The DragonbornThis gosh-darn game called "Skyrim" has consumed my life for the past few months now. When I'm not playing it, I'm thinking about it. So here's a product of me not playing it but thinking about it.. in a creative sense.. on Adobe Illustrator.
I was going for a "300" stylized kind of thing here, possibly a poster they would use in the world of Skyrim (if they made posters). The whole piece was made in Illustrator. Also up on: Society6  Octopi Movement
